Alessandra has been a Partner at BSVA since 2018; before joining our Firm she was a partner at her family law firm and, subsequently, at Carnelutti Studio Legale Associato law firm in Milan.

Alessandra regularly assists domestic and international companies, in commercial and international law matters. She assists insurance companies in the area of surety bonds. She also specializes in commercial contracts and intellectual property law.

She has worked for periods abroad (U.S., New Zealand, Spain, Belgium, France and the United Arab Emirates) where she honed her expertise in EU law, private international law and international contracts.

Alessandra is known for her expertise in sports law and sports event organization. She has gained solid experience in international sports competitions by participating and serving in various roles in sporting events over a span of almost three decades (she has been General Counsel to teams and organizing bodies of the America’s Cup and other events since 1989 and was General Counsel in the America’s Cup 2021. She is currently General Counsel of the 52 Super Series sailing circuit).

She has developed extensive expertise related to the organization and management of successful events, with particular reference to issues of an institutional nature (relations with organizing bodies, procedural, regulatory and disciplinary aspects) and issues of a legal and commercial nature (industry contracting, athlete and team contracts, sponsorship and merchandising contracts, television and new media rights, licensing and brand protection, including sports regulations and related litigation).

She has been a member of the Milan Bar since 1991 and is admitted to practice before the Court of Cassation since 2005.

She is a member of the Collegio di Garanzia dello Sport C.O.N.I. and is a speaker at conferences on sports law.
