Bio

Marco, avvocato registered to plead with the Italian Court of Cassation and English solicitor (non-practising), is a Partner of BSVA Studio Legale Associato since 2017, heading the Banking & Finance area, with specific focus on large corporate, banking, finance, company law, Corporate M&A, capital markets, structured finance, regulatory, insurance law, restructuring, insolvency and litigation.

Marco assists clients in the management of the relationship with regulatory Authorities, among which, the Bank of Italy, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Enterprises and the ECB. He has structured transactions exceeding €75 billion in value, drafting often all documents. He has, among its clients, primary Italian and international banking groups, corporates and industrial groups for dozens of financial, banking, corporate, M&A and restructuring transactions.

Reported as an expert of banking & finance law by Legalcommunity and by other diverse publications, he is the correspondent for Italy of an international law journal in banking & finance. He provides assistance and legal advice also to primary law firms. He writes on legal matters for Italian and international publications, speaking at conferences in Italy and abroad. He serves as board member of Italian companies, mostly part of primary listed groups. Formerly at the head of AmCham Insurance task force for Italy, he is a member of NedCommunity and of APRI. He teaches at the Master course for Avvocato d’Affari  (Business Lawyers) and In-house Lawyers run by Melius Form Business School.

Currently, partner of a law firm with continuity for over twenty years, he has been among others a partner for over eight years at a historical Italian partnership heading Banking & Finance, and has worked for over 15 years both in Milan and in the City of London, in three of the five largest English international law firms.

Graduated in law cum laude at the University of Turin, having an English law university degree from Exeter University, he has successfully passed the Law School exams in London. Since 2010 he is registered at the Special Registry for the Avvocati admitted to the Corte di Cassazione and the Superior Jurisdictions.
